1. What subjects do you tutor?
We specialize in language tutoring for individuals of all ages and proficiency levels. Our subjects include:

  • Spanish

  • Medical Spanish (for healthcare professionals)

  • French

  • English

  • English as a Second Language (ESL)

2. Where do the tutoring sessions take place?
We offer flexibility to meet your needs! You can choose:

  • In-Person: At your home, at your work, at a coffee shop, or a local public library (within a reasonable distance).

  • Online: Secure and effective virtual sessions via Zoom or Google Meet.

3. Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are highly qualified, experienced, and passionate about language education. They are native or near-native speakers with a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals.

4. How do I get started and choose a tutor?
Contact us via phone or email for a free consultation. We will discuss your goals, assess your level, and match you with the tutor who best fits your learning style and schedule.

Scheduling & Session Policies

5. What is your policy if a student is late for a session?
The session will end at the originally scheduled time to be fair to the tutor; the tutoring time will not be extended. The full session fee will still apply.

6. What happens if the tutor is late for a session?
Your time is valuable. If your tutor is late, you will receive the full scheduled session time by extending the lesson or a complimentary extension on your next session.

7. What is the cancellation policy?
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancelling or rescheduling a session. This allows us to offer the slot to other students and respect our tutors' time.

8. What if I cancel with less than 24 hours' notice?
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session will be charged the full session fee.

9. What if my tutor needs to cancel a session?
If your tutor needs to cancel, we will notify you as soon as possible. Your session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time at no cost to you.

Pricing & Payments

10. What are your rates?
Our rates vary based on the subject, $45/session for Spanish, French, and English. $55/session for medical Spanish, Business Spanish, and Business French. The fees are the same for online and in-person services. As for translation services, $75/ translated document, $90/hour for in-person and over-the-phone translation services.

11. What is your refund policy?

  • Pre-Paid Packages: We do not offer cash refunds for unused sessions in a prepaid package. However, the remaining sessions will remain available for your use.

  • Single Sessions: Payment for a single session is non-refundable once the session has been completed or in the case of a late cancellation.

  • Service Dissatisfaction: If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us at info@lingotrainers.com immediately. We are committed to resolving any issues and ensuring student satisfaction.

12. How and when do I pay for sessions?
Payment is typically required in advance or after the class for a block of sessions or before each session. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods like Zelle, and cash payments.

Technical & Other Questions

13. What do I need for an online session?
You will need a stable internet connection, a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a webcam and microphone, and a quiet space for learning.

14. Do you provide learning materials?
Yes! Our tutors provide customized materials tailored to your learning objectives. We may also recommend textbooks or online resources for supplemental practice.

15. Can I switch tutors if it's not a good fit?
Absolutely. We want you to have the best learning experience possible. If you feel your tutor isn't the right match, please contact us, and we will happily arrange a switch at no extra charge.

16. Do you offer group sessions?
Yes, we offer small group sessions (2-4 students) at a discounted rate per person ( $40 for each person in the group). This is a great option for friends, family, or colleagues with similar goals.
